Why Your Blog Is Not Read
Why Can’t People Find You?
Do you run a blog but have trouble getting people to see it? It sounds like time for you to do some networking. I have had the same problem myself. It does not matter how hungry your crowd is for your information. You have to throw yourself in front of that hungry crowd, they are not gonna just wander into you. Here are some tips you can use right now to get started.
Bookmarking
Make sure you are posting to all the social bookmarking sites whenever you post a blog. Also, use social media sites like Digg, and Stumbleupon. Build up a following on Twitter, and tweet when you have a new post. Go to sites like Squidoo and Hubpages. The best way to use these is to get involved in the comunity. Do not just bookmark your own sites. Bookmark other sites, make comments, and get to know people that use them. Then you can get these people to start bookmarking your pages if they are any good.
Use RSS Feed Services
Write a short article, and post your rss feed from your blog. Then socialize on those sites. Check out other pages on your topic and leave comments for them. Also, vote for their pages. This will help you with your ranking on that social site, and you will get more traffic to your pages when people search. Get the Authority Blackbook to learn all about promoting your blog. It is free to download so you have nothing to lose.
Forums
You should also join forums for your topic. If it is not against the forum rules, link to your blog in the form signature. You can also sometimes put in a link to a specific article if it is related to the question asked by the reader. Make sure you are within the rules of the forum before doing any of this. If the forums do not allow it in posts, you can send a private message to the person who posted the question. Make sure you are known for giving valuable advise before doing anything like this. You don’t want to get yourself banned for spamming. But it can help if you use it right.
