Internet Marketing Today

I was astonished when I saw what Google was up to with the eBook idea. I first heard about it at Matt Carter’s Blog. What are they doing? Being somewhat new into this field, I do not know yet how this will affect us.
I really think it is targeting different traffic than what we go after as affiliates; however, it may be able to help. Here is why I think so
1, If they are marketing this, they may find a way to pay affiliates to promote it for them
2, AdSense sites will probably get to promote this new program.
3, they will also probably list AdSense on these so those of us in PPC will benefit from the traffic looking for those type of products.
I do not think they will affect direct sales in the SERPS. They are supposed to be neutral in the SERP rankings, and I do not think they will harm our chances at ranking. That kind of bias would lose them too much search traffic, which is still their focus. The fact is we do not even know if it will pan out yet or not. We should just keep doing what we do and see what happens when it gets here. Worrying about the future would paralyze us from focusing on where we are today. Be aware of what is going on, but do not let it affect how you run your business until you have more information on how it will affect you.
That’s my thought anyway, what do you think we should do?
