I am tired of seeing people call every new internet business opportunity a scam. There are a lot of internet business scams out there.I have been taken by a few myself. Some of them where just me not following the recommended program though.  Trying every new program out there does not constitute it being a scam. So,  how do you know if it is a scam or not?

What a scam is

Before you can identify a scam you need to know what a scam is. A scam is any program that does not deliver what it promises to its customers. Many people mistake hype as a scam. This is not necessarily true. Sometimes it is misleading, but the information is accurate when it is understood correctly. For something to be a scam, they have to promise you something that they do not or cannot provide.

How to identify internet business scams

There are usually some ways to tell if a product is a scam or not. Don’t take the first bit of information you find to form your own opinion.

Read what others say. Do they deliver what they promise? Are people getting help from the product? Most scams will make fake testimonials. when you research a product, don’t just look for the product. Look up a few of the supposed testimonials and see if the people who are listed exist.

Misinformation About Internet Business Scams

Some people look at products that promise to make money fast, and call it a scam because they did not make a PROFIT. This is important.

Most of the Make Money programs you will find tell you how much they make in sales. They fail to tell you how much they had to spend to make it. You need to understand the difference between net and gross income if you want to avoid the scams.

Are PPC programs Internet Business Scams?

Many of the biggest programs are teaching PPC advertising. this is how they promise to make money fast. and PPC can be profitable. However it requires some time and testing to make it work. If you think you are going to make a profit on your first add, you need a reality check.

Some people get lucky and profit quickly. However, most of us actually have to do some work to make it profitable. You have test everything you do.

The #1 Sign of an Internet Business Scam

Many internet business scams will tell you that you do not have to work to make money. This is the biggest sign of a scam. It is true, you can build a business to where it takes little time to run. However, initially it will take a lot of work to get it to be profitable. If a program promises instant riches, avoid it at all costs. any real business will tell you that it takes time to make money in any form.

Don’t call everything a Scam

I hate seeing people call everything a scam without even trying to work the program. Many people will claim something is a scam within days of buying the product. In reality, it will take several weeks or months of testing to make a system work.

I could call anything a scam if I didn’t make money with it with no effort on my part. The truth is, just because something takes effort does not mean it is a scam.

Take some time to check out the programs you want to try. Pick one and work on it. Don’t get distracted by every new product. There are a lot of great online training systems that work, but you have to make it work if you want to be successful.
