How do you find your niche on the internet? First, you need to understand what a niche is. A niche is a highly targeted interest group. It is a group of people with common interest. Niche marketing is targeting your marketing to a specific group of people with a common problem or interest.

Find a Niche in your passions

Start by looking at your hobbies and passions. What is it that you love to do? You should look into all the things you love to do. Next, take some time and look at the Clickbank market place. Type in some keyword phrases that you think will give you good products. Look at what comes up, and determine if the gravity score is high enough. By looking at the Clickbank gravity, you can find the best selling products for your interest. If the gravity is over 30 then you have found a good niche.

Just to double check, make sure there are at least 3 or 4 products that you can promote. Your site will look more objective if you are not promoting products all from the same place.

Once you have decided on a niche, you need to spend some time getting to know the people in it. these will be your customers. Spend time in forums, social sites, and chat groups to see what people are talking about. start picking out keywords. I usually find about 20-30 questions that are frequently asked. This will help you find keywords, and how to target them to what people want. Those 20-30 questions turn into topics for your articles.

Use Forums

Take time to join the forums when you are doing your research. get to know the people there, and let them get to know you. If you take time to get yourself known for your knowledge in the niche, you will find that when you launch your website, you have a base of customers ready to come and see what you have to offer.This is a great way to build up your reputation and credibility within the niche.

Once you have your niche, and you start getting your content written, it is time to set up your site. You will need to work on all the SEO to get your site ranking and build up traffic. Now if you took the time to get to know your niche in the forums, you can drive some instant traffic by linking to your site in the signature file, if it is allowed by the forum rules.

In order to get traffic flowing to your blog, you will need to use good SEO and market your blog to get traffic. A great way to get started is rewrite your blog post articles and submit them to article directories. This will get good links to your site, and start bringing you traffic.

Social media sites are also a great way to promote your blog. You should create a Squidoo lense, a Hub page, and a facebook account. Then you can link from each of these to your rss feed and get relevant traffic to view your blog. This will also give you great backlinks to your site for SEO ranking.

NOw, that is one main thing that you learn in this kind of business is that there are some words that strike an emotional response. The reason people use them is because they work. They touch on people’s emotions, and people will be pulling out their wallet before they know what hit them.

Don’t let yourself fall into these traps that people lay for you. Take the time to research anyone you plan to learn from. Get an idea of what they know, and how much they are willing to help you. Also, don’t just fall for the old “this is worth $600 but I am giving it to you for only $25 today only.” That is one of the oldest tricks in the book, and most of them are way over priced for what they give you anyway.

Also, I gaurantee you that you will go back next week, and you will see the exact same price. Scarcity is a great tool to use, but too many people use false scarcity in their sales pages.  I usually use it with a specific number, like “I am only giving this away to 200 people at this price.” Once I hit those 200 people, it is gone…

I either raise the price or take away the offer completely. I don’t believe in using false scarcity. However, you can use it to drive interest in your products.
