Master Blogging to Create Customer Satisfaction
When you run your blog well it is easy to create customer satisfaction. Make sure you read the comments and respond appropriately. Get people involved to help you know what they want and how you can help them best. Mastering the art of persuasive writing and posting often will help you build credibility. This is especially true if you build a following that likes what you have to say. There are several items to consider in running your blog well.
Don’t over promote
People HATE to be sold. Every day, I see blogs that are nothing but promotions for products. They usually struggle to maintain a readership and rely on fresh unique traffic to keep going. The long term success of a blog is in developing consistent readers. When I create a new blog, I always focus on trying to help the people within the niche. Making money is benefit, but not the main focus. By helping people, I find that I make more money than if I try to focus on what I can squeeze out of every visitor.
I follow the rule of 1/10 promotions. For every affiliate link, I link to at least 10 places with no monetary connection. Link to other blogs within the niche. Link to other valuable websites. Now some people say this is promoting the competition. While this is true, I don’t look at competition the same way.
These are other people that I want to help. One day, I may want to do a JV partnership with them, and anything I have done to help promote them will benefit me.
It is all about you, and your customers
Everything you do is for your customers. Make sure every post is giving them what they want. You will get more customer satisfaction by providing what they are looking for every time they come. Listen to the comments and emails they send you. This will help you in the end to provide what they want.
It is also all about you. By this, I mean you can put your opinions, and viewpoints. Be controversial, funny, and outrageous. Allow your personality to shine. This will create an environment that people want to come back and see. This does not mean to be disrespectful or rude. Make sure as you present your opinions, you still respect the opinions of others. In addition, NEVER promote an opinion as fact. If you don’t know the difference, you better find out.
Make it look Clean and Professional
Choose a nice looking theme. Keep your sidebar uncluttered. Everything in your sidebar is there for a purpose. If you don’t have a specific reason for it, get rid of it.
Although you can be yourself, you also need to be professional. This is your business, and people will judge your business by the way you act and how you keep yourself. Keep a plan, and stick to it.
Provide Value
This goes for any website, but especially on a blog. You have to provide valuable content for people to trust you. Share everything you know. Continue learning and research every post you make. You will be posting often and you need to make everything count.
Give people something to think about. You want to get them to go to your products. But at the same time, you want them to know that you are an authority. In order to do that, you have to share plenty of good quality content.
Be Consistent
Consistent blogging is critical long term. In the first few months, you will probably be changing frequently. You need to get yourself comfortable with how often you post. You also need to make sure you have time for promoting your site, and building traffic. All these things will take time to get into a flow.
However, once you have your site going, make a schedule and stick with it. If you post daily, you have to post every day. If you post 2 days a week, post on the same 2 days every week.
There is no rule on how often to post. It is up to you. Just make sure you remain consistent every time.
Have Fun With your Blog
Make sure you have fun. This is an exciting way to build strong relationships that can last. Take the fun out, and you will lose your motivation to keep blogging. It takes a big commitment to make a blog work. If you don’t enjoy it, you will quite long before you ever make it successful.
